Cisco as the leader of IT certification, give you the authority prove which can give you the many help when you apply for your job.
For CCNA and CCNP candidates, you should do your best learning when you screw your knowledge up. It doesn’t give lip service to but the only way to develop your Cisco troubleshooting skills you need to pass your Intro, ICND, and CCNP exams.
Take a look at the ping that we’re used to using for LAN issues, and the extended ping.
“Basic” ping is familiar for us, where you use the ping command followed by the IP address you want to confirm IP connectivity with. When you’ve got connectivity, you will see five obvious points, as seen here: R1#ping 172.12.123.2 Type escape sequence to abort.Sending 5, 100-byte ICMP Echos to 172.12.123.2, timeout is 2 seconds: !!!!! Success rate is 100 percent (5/5), round-trip min/avg/max = 68/68/72 ms
The default source IP address for ping is the IP address closest to the destination IP address. Other defaults – five ICMP packets will be sent (the five exclamation points you see), and they’re sent two seconds apart. That’s fine for many basic situations, but as you progress through your networking career and most advanced scenarios in your CCNA / CCNP studies, you will want to change some of these defaults.
When you wanted to send 10,000 pings; When you needed your router’s loopback address to be the source IP address for the pings; When you wanted to send them five seconds apart, instead of two. Then extended ping comes in.
To use extended ping, type “ping” and hit enter.
R1>ping % Incomplete command. “incomplete command” indicates that the router is waiting for an IP address; you can’t use extended ping in user exec mode. R1>enable R1#ping Protocol [ip]: Target IP address: 172.16.123.1 Repeat count [5]: 1000 Datagram size [100]: Timeout in seconds [2]: Extended commands [n]: y Source address or interface: loopback0 Type of service [0]: Set DF bit in IP header? [no]: Validate reply data? [no]: Data pattern [0xABCD]: Loose, Strict, Record, Timestamp, Verbose[none]: Sweep range of sizes [n]: Type escape sequence to abort. Sending 1000, 100-byte ICMP Echos to 172.16.123.1, timeout is 2 seconds: Packet sent with a source address of 1.1.1.1 …………………………………
In this example, 1000 ICMP packets were sent to an address that doesn’t exist, so getting periods instead of exclamation points. This is to show you the many options you have with extended ping.
Now let’s sent those 1000 pings, stop that process. At the beginning of the basic ping output, you see this phrase: Type escape sequence to abort. This escape sequence works for ping, extended ping, and traceroute. Funny thing, though – Cisco doesn’t tell you what the escape sequence is! One day, this will really come in handy. The escape sequence is , TWICE in rapid succession. After I used it in this example, the pings stopped and I got this message: Success rate is 0 percent (0/192) The ping stopped after 192 ICMP packets were sent. This keystroke takes a little practice, so practice it in your home lab. Knowing how to use extended ping will really come in handy on your CCNA and CCNP exams as well as your real-life networking job, and knowing how to stop an extended ping will as well!
Once you want to go by the road, you should make sure that you can go forever, and you would try your best to aim it.
When you learning, you can find the information from many learning website like pass4sure. Or you can look for the training institution, just be careful.

Except I told you, you must have known the importance of voice technologies in today’s networks; Compare with today, you can image how important knowing voice is going to be tomorrow.

So be equipped with technology like this, you must be strong in the field. To prove your capability, you can get some certifications, which can be the most convictive.

Cisco, as the pioneer in technical certifications, has offered a Cisco Certified Voice Professional certification–CCVP that is gaining a lot of attention from IT professionals looking to add to their skills and their resume. Cisco’s CCVP certification needs a rigorous five-exam track that requires you to earn your CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) certification first. The five exams cover a myriad of topics and not in one away!

Here are the exam numbers and codes that you need to know for the CCVP exams:

642-642 Quality Of Service (QOS)

642-432 Cisco Voice Over IP (CVOICE)

642-425 IP Telephony Troubleshooting (IPTT)

642-444 Cisco IP Telephony (CIPT)

642-452 Cisco Voice Gateways (GWGK)

After they have gained CCNA certification, the newly-minted CCNAs wonder if they should pursue CCNP or the Security Professional certification immediately. So I think these candidates should decide before going after these more-specialized certifications.

The routing and switching knowledge your will acquire on your way to the CCNP will be invaluable to your career as well as being helpful with your CCVP pursuits all of Cisco. These certifications won’t be going anywhere soon. Think of how valuable you will be with a CCNP, CCVP, and CCSP!

To make it more clearly, you can get more details from their official websites. You will learn more and also get help from the specialization who can analysis your situation and give you the useful advice. After that you can look for help from some institution for training, even some web online like pass4sure to provide you the book and Virtual Lab you need when you prepared for your exams for Cisco.

CCNA is the based certification of Cisco, once you’ve got your CCNA, you can do some prepare for the further level in the Cisco Professional certifications.

CCNP, as a higher level of Cisco than CCNA, designed for Cisco Certified Network Professional certification. With the time going and its development, Cisco has expanded this level of certifications to include the Cisco Certified Security Professional (CCSP) and Cisco Certified Voice Professional (CCVP).

In today’s network, with security and voice being the two most rapidly expanding areas, some new CCNAs don’t add the CCNP in mind but consider going after the CCSP or CCVP. While you are trying to hurry up and get a Cisco security or voice certification, the best thing you can do for your networking career is achieve your CCNP certification first, then decide on the CCVP or CCSP. You must be open-eyed, later we’ll explain for it.

As the CCNA is just the tip of a very large iceberg when it comes to routing and switching, but CCNA is indeed the foundation of your networking career. If you need to add on to that level of understanding routing and switching before moving on to more specialized areas.

Two examples are OSPF and BGP. You learn about the theory of OSPF and some basic and intermediate configurations of that protocol in your CCNA studies, but the knowledge you acquire of OSPF in your CCNP studies is invaluable.

As for BGP, there is no BGP in the CCNA curriculum, but it is a great idea to have some BGP knowledge in today’s networks. It’s also good for your career. I know it is a huge temptation to go after the security and voice certifications while not paying attention to the CCNP.

Do yourself a huge favor, add the tremendous amount of routing and switching knowledge needed for the CCNP to your knowledgebase, and you can then move on to the CCSP or CCVP.

After that even better, you’ll be prepared to climb the biggest certification mountain around – the CCIE!

The problems about an odd situation that occurs for CCNA and CCNP candidates who have their own Cisco home labs often meet when they erase a switch’s configuration.

Their startup configuration is gone as expected, but the VLAN and VTP information is still there! It sounds strange, why does it occur?

First, let’s look at an example On SW1. We run show VLAN brief and in this abbreviated output see that there are three additional VLAN in use: SW1#show VLAN 10 VLAN0010 active 20 VLAN0020 active 30 VLAN0030 active We want to totally erase the router’s startup configuration, so we use the write erase command, confirm it, and reload without saving the running configure: SW1#write erase Erasing the NVRAM file system will remove all configuration files!

Continue? [confirm] [OK] Erase of nvram: complete SW1#rel 00:06:00: %SYS-7-NV_BLOCK_INIT: Initalized the geometry of nvram SW1#reload System configuration has been modified.

Save? [yes/no]: n

Proceed with reload? [confirm]

The router reloads, and after exiting setup mode, we run show VLAN brief again. And even though the startup configuration was erased, the vlans are still there! Switch #show vlan br 10 VLAN0010 active 20 VLAN0020 active 30 VLAN0030 active.

The reason is that this VLAN and VTP information is actually kept in the VLAN.DAT file in Flash memory, and the contents of Flash are kept on a reload. The file has to be deleted manually. There’s a little trick to deleting this file. The switch will prompt you twice to ask if you really want to get rid of this file.

Don’t type “y” or “yes”; just accept the defaults by hitting the return key.

If you type “y”, the router attempts to delete a file named “y”, as shown here:

Switch#delete vlan.dat Delete filename [vlan.dat]? y

Delete flash:y? [confirm]

%Error deleting flash:y (No such file or directory)

Switch#delete vlan.dat Delete filename [vlan.dat]? Delete flash:vlan.dat? [confirm] Switch#

Working with the real Cisco equipment is the best way to prepare for CCNA and CCNP exam success, and by performing lab tasks over and over. Repetition strong your skill, and by truly erasing your VLAN and VTP information by deleting the vlan.dat file from Flash, you’ll be building your Cisco skills to the point where your CCNA and CCNP exam success is a certainty.

To work easier, you can get help from others like some training institutions, also you can go for some book or software to study from the network. If you search on the internet, pass4sure I think would be a nice choice for, from there you can get the workstation and simulation laboratory to download.

The Cisco CCNP lab is one of the most difficult labs to build as it equipped with so many different pieces instruments. If you want to build your Cisco CCNA lab, first and is easy as three Cisco router and three Cisco switches will put you in a pretty good position at a pretty reasonable price. They are a lot less than the cost of attending a Cisco CCNA training class obviously and you get to keep the equipment to practice on for as long as you like.
Other one when building a Cisco CCIE lab, you should concentrate on one particular discipline such as CCIE Security, Voice, Service Provider, Storage or Routing and Switching
Some of these are applied to voice packets which is time sensitive packets that require QoS attention. In this module you will also be reviewing basic wireless security setups. So much of the QoS items will be exercised on the Cisco routers you purchased for the BSCI track, the Cisco switches you already purchased for the BCMSN track. To a large degree, you will be able to use the equipment in the first two modules to support the concepts in the last two modules. Try to strike a balance between the amount of equipment, price of the equipment and labs that can be performed as most people do not have the budget to go out
Now, it turns to CCNP Lab Approach
Even though the new CCNP exams of Cisco states are based on 12.4, that does not mean that persons have to throw out all of your 2500 and/or non-XM 2600 routers and start from scratch. Incorporate them into your new CCNP lab environment. But you must realize that you may not be able to see every feature work on each router since some of your routers may be running 12.3 and other 12.4. The old saying that you get what you pay for is applicable in this situation. It is just like buying a car, larger your pay, the more features you will get.
Included the 3640 routers are they are the most economical way to build out your 12.4 lab supporting IPv6 and SDM. To support IPv6 and SDM you must have 128/32 on each of these routers. Since these are the two waves of the future and they are on the tests, you should be able to perform labs incorporating each.
After that if you can only afford one of those kits, don’t worry, you will still get tons of great experience from those kits! Notes, some people ask to be able to perform every concept that is covered in the book, which is not realistic for most customers who are self studying as this will cost well in excess of $20,000 per person.
How Many Switches Do I Need?
Four switches is a really good number for your CCNP lab. and Layer 3 through 7 switching. Switches give you the ability to configure various scenarios which require multiple switches such as trunking in multilayer switched networks, multi-casting, QoS, VTP concepts such as pruning, creating loops and suppressing them with STP, controlling root bridge elections, multiple spanning tree environments, UplinkFast and BackboneFast, EtherChannel. Layer 3 have two switches plus 2950 switches seem to work pretty well which being cost conscientious.
Why do I want a Terminal Server Router?
Have one is very nice to keep moving the console cable from router to router as you are configuring them. You can access all your routers and switches via the terminal server and connected octal cable. This is not going to function in your lab, but it is nice to have to make your lab much easier to use.
If you already got your Cisco CCNA certification, congratulations on your CCNA! At the same time something above should have made a lot of sense to you. You should have a very good grasp on the different features of the various Cisco routers and Cisco switches. Now you will just need to know what Cisco routers and Cisco switches you need to purchase to build your Cisco CCNP lab.
At last there is a light at the end of the tunnel! You will be able to use all these pieces of equipment in your Cisco CCIE lab so they will not go to waste! Since you have most of the CCIE equipment already, you are well on your way to acing your Cisco CCNP exam then pass the high entertainment to achieve your Cisco CCIE certification.

Only with time and hard work, that can you get an IT certification.Although the certifications are various, their steps, as follows, are the same.Read the following steps carefully if you are going to take the Cisco 642-811 test Exam.
The First step you should take is to decide which certification to take. If you have no clear directions, hot certifications like Cisco, Microsoft, CompTIA would be safer for future use.
The second step is experience estimation. Take a well-rounded look on your experience and skills after deciding the Cisco certification. The training and study materials choosing are based on this experience estimation.
Practice tests can be found in books, on CDs, and all over the Internet. Find them. Take them. Take Pass 4 sure 642-811 certificate for example, you can just buy it online.Learning by yourself can bring you one piece of experience, while share it in some forums you may get double or more. So, why not?Candidates for whom time is a consideration should go for training classes. It is suitable for candidates who have just a few weeks or a month to go for the TestKing Cisco certification exam. Some are free and others cost money, but all of them will get you in the test-taking mode. Most online practice P4S Cisco exam exams run from $30 to $100 and provide a solid way to test your knowledge. Most vendor sites provide resources such as mock tests and online forums to chat with others about important issues. Try them!
If you think that you have got ready for the exam, you can take the fourth now, which is registering your exam.
What I’d like to emphasize is that don’t become complacent after receiving your Cisco certification. As an IT professional, you should keep on moving.
Since learning is a life long task, getting a Cisco certification doesn’t mean the end of your study. Pick up your book and go on hands-on exercises, get ready for your further development from now on.

But if you never give up and keep on moving, one day you’ll get what you are seeking.
